Australia’s favourite kid’s music group has joined an illustrious rollcall of legendary rock stars by making the front cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

‘Pardon me for saying this but you guys look as hot as hot potatoes.’

The beloved Aussie band were already global superstars, but they didn’t exactly have rock and roll cred.

Then two unexpected things happened. First, they recorded a cover of Tame Impala’s Elephant for Triple J’s Like A Version.

Second, it took out the top spot in this year’s Triple J Hottest 100. Suddenly, The Wiggles were deeply cool.

And since taking out the Hottest 100 they’ve collaborated with the likes of The Kid Laroi and garnered praise from Lil Nas X

They’ll even be playing on the Falls Festival bill later this year alongside the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Lil Nas, Chvrches and Peggy Gou.

With their cool factor skyrocketing, their first Rolling Stone cover was inevitable, right?
